"Welsh brewers Rolant Tomos and Rob Lilford have made botanical beers their speciality, with ales featuring yerba mate, rose petals and even seaweed in their repertoire. Our favourite of their output uses locally sourced wild rosemary, an ingredient that’s tricky to brew with due to varying levels of natural oils depending on when it’s picked. The herb addition is instantly obvious from the aroma and provides flavours that seem like they could be from an amazing new hop discovery – distinctively of rosemary but with an almost lemony pungency that is surprisingly well suited to beer."

ADVENTURES IN BEER
Tomos & Lilford was started by Rolant Tomos and Rob Lilford, who made beer using mad, unexpected, delicious things because they love the unexpected. Today, we still make beer using mad, unexpected, delicious things because we love the unexpected.
Our brews combine new ideas with old traditions to create full flavoured beers to appreciate, to savour and never to forget.
From the hedgerow to the herbaceous border, seaweed to South American tea, a sense of adventure prevails in all that we do. It's something we also share with our loyal followers and which inspired our motto, (insert drumroll/fanfare/kazoo, anything goes) 'Adventures in beer'.
Today, you'll find us on supermarket shelves and Michelin-starred menus and everywhere in-between. We've just been ranked number two in the Indy's best botanical beers round up. Our celebrated 'Cwrwgl' seaweed stout was the subject of a BBC documentary and we regularly crop up on TV and radio (and at all the best parties). We are proud to count BBC Radio 2's Nigel Barden, the Welsh Government and Tafwyl festival amongst our biggest fans .
